What a education board is accountable for
An education board governs an institution whose primary stakeholders cannot vote: students, and in schools, minors. That asymmetry is why safeguarding, admissions fairness and fee policy are board matters rather than management matters.
What recurs on the agenda

- 02Safeguarding policy, incident reporting and the register of who has been trained and when
- 03Fee schedule approval and the hardship or scholarship provision that accompanies it

- 05Curriculum or programme approval, and its alignment with the national qualifications framework
Accreditation panels ask for the minute in which a finding was accepted and the minute in which it was closed. The gap between those two dates is the finding.
