Mithaq vs Diligent
A sourced comparison of Mithaq and Diligent on published pricing, Arabic, deployment, trials and Gulf presence, with a vendor source for every row.
Their pages read on 21 August 2026"The leading AI platform for GRC. Centralize governance, risk and compliance in one AI platform." Their board product is Diligent Boards, inside the Diligent One platform.
https://www.diligent.com/products/boardsThe short version
Diligent is the largest vendor in this category and it is not close. If your board needs one platform spanning governance, risk, compliance, audit, entity management and ESG, and your procurement values a supplier with two decades of enterprise references, Diligent is the obvious shortlist entry and we would put it on the list ourselves.
The questions where we think a GCC board should press them are the three below: what a seat actually costs, what the Arabic interface actually is, and where the data actually sits. None of those three has a published answer on diligent.com, which does not mean the answers are bad. It means you will get them in a sales call rather than from a page, and you will not be able to compare them against another vendor before that call.
Six questions you can check yourself
Every cell links the page it was read on. Open them.
What does it cost? Mithaq
No figure is published. /pricing is a lead form asking for name, work email, phone, company and country, under the headline "Get clear pricing for the world's leading GRC platform".
https://www.diligent.com/pricingPublished. Free at OMR 0, Pro at OMR 50 per month per tenant, on-premise from OMR 3,000 a year, all on /pricing with no form in front of them.
Is there an Arabic interface? They do not say
Not published either way. The word "Arabic" does not appear on their homepage, board-product page or pricing page, there are no hreflang tags, and the seven locales in their sitemap do not include Arabic. What the product interface supports internally is not stated anywhere we could reach, so we make no claim about it.
https://www.diligent.com/sitemap.xmlMithaq supports Arabic and English record fields and a right-to-left Arabic interface. Its published Arabic marketing pages are separate, self-canonical documents with reciprocal language alternates.
Can it run on our own servers? They do not say
Not addressed. The strings "on-prem", "on-premise", "self-host" and "cloud" appear nowhere on their homepage or their board-product page. They make no hosting-model statement on the pages a buyer would read first.
https://www.diligent.com/products/boardsA priced single-tenant on-premise path and Docker Compose installer are published. Network, identity, notifications, backups, updates and integrations are validated for the final deployment before any offline commitment.
Can we try it before we commit? Mithaq
Not without a sales conversation. Every CTA is "Request a demo" or "Request pricing". The one free trial on the site, for GovernAI, states "Free trial available exclusively to existing Diligent customers."
https://www.diligent.com/lp/govern-ai-free-trialA free plan is published on the pricing page, and its current access path starts at the Mithaq sign-in page.
Do they have a presence in the Gulf? Mithaq
A sales line. Their global offices page lists, under Middle East, a Dubai sales number and an Israel support number. There are Gulf-themed articles, and no Oman page anywhere in their 3,878 URLs.
https://www.diligent.com/company/contact-usBuilt in Muscat, sold in Omani rials, and the anchor customer is an Omani national sport federation whose board and public site both run on it.
Is the site machine-readable for answer engines? Mithaq
Barely. Their homepage carries exactly one application/ld+json block, typed WebPage, and their board-product page carries none at all. There is no SoftwareApplication node and no Organization node on the product page.
https://www.diligent.com/Every indexable page has server-rendered canonical metadata and parseable JSON-LD. Published Arabic twins are self-canonical and reciprocally linked, and the sitemap and llms.txt enumerate the public surface.
Where Diligent beats us
- Scale and references. Their own pages claim 25,000 customer organisations, 700,000 directors and executives, and that 75 percent of the Fortune 500 are customers. We have one published customer.
- Breadth. Board management is one module of a platform that also covers risk, audit, compliance, entity management and ESG reporting. Mithaq is a board and committee product and does not pretend otherwise.
- Depth of published material. Their dated sitemap review found thousands of URLs, far more than Mithaq publishes. If your evaluation includes "how much has this vendor written about my problem", they win that outright.
Method: every page cited above was fetched from Diligent's own site on 21 August 2026 with an ordinary browser, and the visible text was quoted from it. Where their site does not answer a question we say so and mark the row "they do not say" rather than converting a gap in their publishing into a gap in their product. diligent.com publishes 3,878 unique URLs across 121 sitemap files, in seven locales: en-US, en-GB, en-AU, de-DE, fr-FR, es-ES and ja-JP. Mithaq holds neither SOC 2 nor ISO 27001 and claims neither. If a line here is no longer true on their page, write to info@mithaq.om and we will correct it or remove it.
