Mithaq vs OnBoard

OnBoard is a mature North American board portal with a large customer base, published security certifications and a real free trial, which most vendors in this category do not offer. For a board in the United States, Europe or Australia that wants an AI-assisted portal hosted in Microsoft Azure, it belongs on the shortlist.
For a board in Oman the questions are the same three as for every vendor on this site: what it costs, whether it works in Arabic, and where the data sits. OnBoard publishes plan names but no prices, publishes nothing about Arabic, and names Azure as its host without naming a region. Their regional contact for the Middle East is an office in the United Kingdom.

What does it cost? Mithaq
No figure. The pricing page names three plans, Essentials, Premium and Ultimate, with no amounts, and its FAQ says: "OnBoard is priced based on your organization's needs, including the plan tier and number of users... To get an accurate quote for your board, request a demo."

Is there an Arabic interface? They do not say
Not published either way. The word "Arabic" does not appear on their homepage, pricing, board-portal, AI or security pages. The pages declare lang="en-US", carry no hreflang tags, and their sitemap has no locale other than US English. Product interface languages are not published, so we make no claim about them.

Can it run on our own servers, and where does the data sit? They do not say
Cloud, on Azure, with no region named. Their security page says "The platform is hosted on Microsoft Azure infrastructure". Their AI page says board data "remains within OnBoard's controlled Microsoft Azure infrastructure" and "Stays in your region, outside any public LLM", without naming a region. The words on-premise and self-hosted do not appear, so on-premise is not addressed either way.

Where does the AI process board text? They do not say
In Microsoft's cloud. Their AI page says "OnBoard utilizes AI models through Microsoft's Azure OpenAI Service" and that it "Never trains on your data". Minutes AI turns a transcript and key points into "an editable minutes draft you control". No option to use a model on the customer's own network is published.

Audio transcription is hosted and off until an administrator approves it. The on-premise AI page lists which features stay hosted.
Can we try it before we commit? Comparable
Yes. "FREE TRIAL" sits in their header and footer, and the trial page is headed "Start Your Trial". It is a request form, and it states no trial length.

Do they have a presence in the Gulf? Mithaq
Not in the region. Their contact page covers "Europe, Middle East, & Africa" from an office in High Wycombe, United Kingdom, with a UK phone number, and lists a +44 support line for the Middle East. Headquarters are in Indianapolis.

Is the site machine-readable for answer engines? Comparable
Partly. Their homepage carries four JSON-LD blocks, typed WebSite, Organization and two LocalBusiness nodes. Their AI page carries BreadcrumbList, SoftwareApplication and FAQPage. Their main board-portal page carries none.

Where OnBoard beats us
- Scale. Their homepage states "6,000+ Customers Across United States, Europe, Australia, and beyond", "175k+ Users" and "Join 30k+ Boards Around the Globe", with named customer testimonials. We have one published customer.
- Certifications. Their compliance page says "OnBoard holds SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and ISO 27701 certifications and is compliant with HIPAA, GDPR, and EU-U.S. Data Privacy Frameworks." Mithaq holds none of these.
- A free trial and a wider AI set. The header carries "FREE TRIAL", and their pricing table lists Minutes AI, Book AI and Agenda AI as add-ons on every plan. Their e-signature page also keeps signatures inside the board record and adds DocuSign "when formal contracts demand" it.
Method: every page cited above was fetched from OnBoard's own site on 24 September 2026 with an ordinary browser, and the visible text was quoted from it.
