Mithaq vs Nasdaq Boardvantage
A sourced comparison of Mithaq and Nasdaq Boardvantage on published pricing, Arabic, deployment, trials and Gulf presence, with a vendor source for every row.
Their pages read on 21 August 2026"Board Portal Software for Modern Governance. Nasdaq Boardvantage is a board portal software that brings meeting creation, distribution, and board materials into a single system of record."
https://www.nasdaq.com/products/governance/boardvantageThe short version
Of the vendors on this site, Boardvantage is the one whose published material we respect most, and the one that gets closest to us on the points we care about. It advertises on-premise hosting, it publishes a UAE page with local Azure hosting in Dubai, it ships the richest structured data of any board portal we measured, and its own FAQ says plainly that you do not have to be Nasdaq-listed, or listed at all, to buy it.
The one place we would push back is the pricing page. It is headlined "One price, no upcharges" and subtitled "Pricing is transparent and all-inclusive, with no hidden fees or upcharges, ever," and it contains no number. Transparency about pricing structure is real and worth something; it is not the same as a published price, and a page that uses the word transparent should probably carry one.
Six questions you can check yourself
Every cell links the page it was read on. Open them.
What does it cost? Mithaq
No figure, on a page that promises transparency. /pricing is headlined "One price, no upcharges" and states "Pricing is transparent and all-inclusive, with no hidden fees or upcharges, ever." There is no currency amount anywhere on it. The word "demo" does not appear on the page at all: the only call to action is a "Contact Us" form, which their own markup names "NGS|Web Form|Contact Us|NGS Pricing" and types contact_sales.
https://www.nasdaq.com/products/governance/boardvantage/pricingPublished. Free at OMR 0, Pro at OMR 50 per month per tenant, on-premise from OMR 3,000 a year, all on /pricing with no form in front of them.
Is there an Arabic interface? Mithaq
There is an Arabic marketing page, and it is machine translation served left-to-right. The page declares lang="ar-xm" dir="ltr", their language config labels it "Arabic Modern Standard (AI)", Arabic is not in the visible language dropdown, and Nasdaq's own disclaimer says translations are offered "as is" and "the original English text prevails". No claim is made anywhere that the application itself has an Arabic interface, and we do not claim it lacks one.
https://www.nasdaq.com/ar-xm/products/governance/boardvantageMithaq supports Arabic and English record fields and a right-to-left Arabic interface. Its published Arabic marketing pages are separate, self-canonical documents with reciprocal language alternates.
Can it run on our own servers? Comparable
Yes, they publish it, though only in their structured data. The SoftwareApplication featureList on their information-security page reads "Single Sign-On, SaaS Hosting, On-Premise Hosting". The visible copy on that page describes third-party data-centre hosting and does not mention on-premise, so ask them which one applies to your contract.
https://www.nasdaq.com/products/governance/boardvantage/features/information-securityA priced single-tenant on-premise path and Docker Compose installer are published. Network, identity, notifications, backups, updates and integrations are validated for the final deployment before any offline commitment.
Can we try it before we commit? Mithaq
A guided tour, not a trial. The word "trial" appears on none of their Boardvantage pages. What they offer is "Take a Free Self-Guided Tour" per feature, and "Book a Demo".
https://www.nasdaq.com/products/governance/boardvantageA free plan is published on the pricing page, and its current access path starts at the Mithaq sign-in page.
Do they have a presence in the Gulf? Comparable
Yes, and it is the strongest of the three. A dedicated UAE page states the product is "now hosted locally on Microsoft Azure in Dubai" and claims "Trusted by 4,400+ Organizations Worldwide, including leading UAE enterprises". There is no Oman, Saudi, Qatar, Kuwait or Bahrain page in their product sitemap.
https://www.nasdaq.com/products/governance/boardvantage/uaeBuilt in Muscat, priced in Omani rials, and the anchor customer is an Omani national sport federation. For a board whose rules say the data stays inside the Sultanate, hosting in Dubai and hosting in your own building are different answers.
Is the site machine-readable for answer engines? Comparable
Yes, and better than anyone else here. Their Boardvantage page carries a JSON-LD graph of six nodes including Organization, WebSite, SoftwareApplication with a full featureList, BreadcrumbList and VideoObject, plus an FAQ array on the WebPage node. There is no offers node and no price in it.
https://www.nasdaq.com/products/governance/boardvantageComparable machine-readable coverage in both languages: canonical page graphs, reciprocal Arabic alternates and an llms.txt URL map. The pricing page publishes only its numeric public offers in SoftwareApplication schema.
Where Nasdaq Boardvantage beats us
- Gulf hosting, published and specific. Their UAE page states the product is "now hosted locally on Microsoft Azure in Dubai". That is a concrete regional data-residency answer, and it is more than Diligent or BoardEffect publish.
- Certifications and audit posture: SOC 2 Type II audited and ISO 27001 certified, stated on their information-security page. Mithaq holds neither.
- Scale: their pricing page claims 247,000 total users, 4,500-plus global organisations and 47 Fortune 100 clients. And they publish their own comparison pages against Diligent, BoardEffect, OnBoard and Board Intelligence, which is more competitive candour than most vendors in this category manage.
Method: every page cited above was fetched from Nasdaq Boardvantage's own site on 21 August 2026 with an ordinary browser, and the visible text was quoted from it. Where their site does not answer a question we say so and mark the row "they do not say" rather than converting a gap in their publishing into a gap in their product. nasdaq.com is a financial-markets portal, so its site-wide count is not a board-portal signal. The comparable figure is the product surface: 895 URLs under /products/, of which 31 are Boardvantage pages. Mithaq holds neither SOC 2 nor ISO 27001 and claims neither. If a line here is no longer true on their page, write to info@mithaq.om and we will correct it or remove it.
